"A horse is like a mirror, and it's reflecting what and who you are."

This is just a little diary of my horse life. I teach natural horsemanship and dressage. I am currently working on getting back to L4 Parelli after a car accident and surgery.

I suffered from a fear of failure, as things had not gone according to planned after my time off from my injuries. It had been an paralyzing disability (fear) but my healing is coming along nicely, and I hope to pass my level 4 before the end of 2011.

I don't know where I am going, but I am NOT lost!

I am now reviewing dvd's and books, and blogging my reviews. The link on the left in the categories (DVD Clinician Reviews)will take you straight to it. You will find links to the websites of all dvd clinicians I review and they are located on the left hand side bottom of page of the page. None of the clinicians or trainers I am reviewing, sponsor, endorse or authorize this site. For more info about them please click on thier link.

I hope you enjoy!

Savvy On,

I will be giving Savvy Star Ratings based soley on my opinion of it's value to a parelli student as such

***** Must own

**** Must watch

*** Worth watching, but you won't die without it

** Eh' take it with a grain of salt, you will have to filter alot

* OK, but there is better stuff out there to spend your time and money on

0 stars....skip it, it just isn't worth your time.

Cha'Cote OLL3 Audition ~ Pass 3++

Well, we finally did it....we taped OLL3. Me and Cha'Cote! Not to bad either.....doubt I will pass....but we shall see....I am sending it in tomorrow.....wish me and my not so wild anymore mustang good luck!

  1. He looks awesome!
Soo.... the million dollar question... you planning on riding him?
    Good luck!

  2. AHH! Cool! I sent mine in Yesterday!! Congrats on at least doing it! It took a while for me to make myself do it!

  3. Thanks Alex and Prescilla. Some day I do plan on riding him. Since I don't have a round pen and liberty is a ways away. I will be starting OLL4, right after I get him to wear a bareback pad! I want him to complete L4 with a pad or saddle on, so that he is ALL ready to be sent to a trainer. I wish I could start him my self undersaddle, but due to car accident, i will never be able to start a horse undersaddle again :( The cost to me over the next 30yrs will be large, and significantly reduce the # of rescues I can help. Unbroke horses have little re-homing value in the rescue business. no one wants them.
Priscilla, I bet you do great on your audition!

  4. I see. Well he's such a handsome boy, he will look awesome undersaddle!
Lookin forward to watchin him go to level 4!

  5. Hey,

This is such an awesome video, no idea what is going on but it looks good to me, but then why should I, I am a 'lost cause that will never understand' :-D :-D. I would help you back your mustang :p. Well, that just wouldnt work would it?? Me being all traditional and 'classically dressage trained'. :). well heres to hoping you got your OLL3!!

  6. Sammi,
my friend across the sea. Thank you. Any good start, is a natural start in my book! You'd likely make a lovely first rider for my beloved mustang XOXOXOX

You don't have to be something to recognise the good of something. Thank you!

I know I am not perfect.....so be nice!
